HEARTBROKEN CHERYL COLE will make her solo festival debut this summer at V. The songbird, who is still reeling from revelations about husband ASHLEY COLE's behaviour, will headline the second stage at the two day bash.
KINGS OF LEON and KASABIAN top the bill on the main stage at the event which is held in Stafford and Chelmsford on August 21 and 22.
And the Leicester rockers intend to use the occasion to mark the World Cup.
They want to perform a rendition of celebrated Italia 90 NEW ORDER track World In Motion.
Frontman TOM MEIGHAN told me: "You know we may call LILY ALLEN's dad up, KEITH ALLEN, and we'll do World In Motion again.
"That would be cool. JOHN BARNES is a bit different from how he did it back then. But you know, we could rehash that up this year maybe."
And the shows will mark a milestone in the Leicester lads' career to date - they will headline.
He added: "We can't wait. We feel it's the right time for us to headline a festival.
"We've been playing so many festivals for so long, I think the moment is right now.
"It's just a wonderful thing to be doing.
